Congress has become more like zombies on attack

Congress has become more like zombies on attack than humans in control. All the time wasted on "Obamacare" the IRS and Benghazi while we are forgotten about.

So here are some truths they need to obtain some brains to remember.

Military Sexual Assaults
They keep holding hearings on this but nothing has changed other than there are more of them. This is a crime. So what's the problem? Put them on trial.

Military Suicides.
If I read one more damn attempt to prevent them tied to the killer "resilience" training, after they have already spent billions I will push for the families to file a class action lawsuit. How do you have numbers go up after they created over 900 programs to prevent them? Anyone paying attention? Is the media? Hell no. The only time they pay attention is when a local newspaper talks to the families when it is too late to do anything.

Jobs
Congress whined "where are the jobs" during the election but have we seen one bill to create any? No. We saw sequestration actually cut jobs including getting rid of jobs for the military. The number one job they pick after service is in public service.

The elderly
Well they got away with cutting funding for things like meal on wheels that provided the one good meal of the day for the elderly. Grandma went without food but they managed to move really fast when it came being able to fly back home without waiting in terrible lines. Imagine that. And they thought we wouldn't notice?

Health
While they keep voting on ending Obamacare they ended up hurting poor people getting treatment for cancer. WOW. How did they pull that one off?

The biggest culprit in all of this are major news networks because congress made their jobs easy. Letting the zombies talk doesn't require much work at all for them.

The IRS it turns out that Isa knew what was going on last year along with the fact it was not just tax exempts tied to Republicans but they went after ones tied to Democrats.

Congress cut funding for security for the State Department.

In all of this, they just want to forget that it was their job to do all this work but they failed and the rest of us suffered.

I know a lot of level headed Republicans and they are freaked out over what has been going on in Washington. Just wish the media did their jobs and held them accountable like they used to do.

Other than honorable way to treat combat wounded, Army kicks them out

As deplorable as this is, it also shows how the Army gets rid of soldiers instead of helping them. Ever think about the high number of suicides of the active duty forces being much higher than reported? This very well may be how the number of suicides connected to their service go uncounted. If the DOD kicks them out, the VA won't take them either. This is the ultimate betrayal!

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) — The number of soldiers discharged from the Army for misconduct has risen to its highest rate in recent times, and some are wounded combat troops who have lost their medical care and other veterans benefits because of other-than-honorable discharges, according to an investigation by the Colorado Springs Gazette.

The newspaper reported Sunday (http://bit.ly/17Oe0T4 ) that the investigation based on Army data found that annual misconduct discharges have increased more than 25 percent since 2009, mirroring the rise in wounded. Among combat troops, the increase is even sharper.

Total discharges at the eight Army posts that house most of the service's combat units have increased 67 percent since 2009.

"I've been working on this since the 70s, and I have never seen anything like this," said Mark Waple, a retired Army officer who now tries military cases as a civilian lawyer near North Carolina's Fort Bragg. "There seems to be a propensity to use minor misconduct for separation, even for service members who are decorated in combat and injured."

The figures studied by The Gazette include soldiers who have served multiple tours and have been diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder and traumatic brain injuries. Some troops were cut loose for minor offenses that the Army acknowledges can be symptoms of TBI and PTSD.

"I see it every day," said Lenore Yarger, a veterans advocate near Fort Bragg. "We have gotten very efficient at getting people to fight wars but are not prepared to deal with the aftermath."

The Gazette found that several soldiers who tested positive for drugs were deployed anyway because the Army needed combat troops. But when they returned, they were discharged for the offense.

Living in Limbo: One Veteran's Struggle With Life After Iraq - 2013

Living in Limbo: One Veteran's Struggle With Life After Iraq - 2013

A former combat videographer, Kathryn Robinson, describes trying to get her life back on track after her return from Iraq left her with PTSD and thoughts of suicide.

The majority of this report is very good but I have to say it. This part is pure crap.

Substance abuse is not the cause of suicides but is a part of PTSD.  It is called self-medicating because they want to stop feeling.  Failed relationships are also part of PTSD.  Ever try living with someone with PTSD when they totally change and you don't have a clue why? I knew what it was and there was a time when even I was lost.  Past abuse? Well again they got that wrong because unless they stopped doing psychological testing before handing recruits weapons, problems would have shown up before hand.  Could they hide mild PTSD? It is possible but not probable.
