Steven Spielberg may reunite with Daniel Day-Lewis, the Oscar-winning star of historical biopic Lincoln, according to Deadline. The pair are considering the project Thank You for Your Service, about soldiers dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder after tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan, by screenwriter Jason Hall.
The news is buried in a feature about Hall that details his journey from wannabe actor to one of Hollywood's most in-demand writers. Thank You for Your Service, based on the forthcoming book by Pulitzer prize-winning Washington Post reporter David Finkel, is still under consideration, and actor and director may yet decide to pass.

"D.N.C. Veteran Tribute Video"
Just have to post this video here that played during last night's DNC Convention, and give props to Stephanie Stone. Stephanie had a 20-year career in the U.S. Navy and gave an excellent testimonial (7:03 in the video) in this veteran tribute video, which was produced by Steven Spielberg. Stephanie and I both serve on the Coro National Alumni Board and are alumni of the Coro Fellows Program. She currently is Vice President of Programs and Outreach for Coro Southern California.

would not provide the customary support for a veteran transitioning to civilian life;
denied him GI bill benefits;
refused to provide transitional health care;
and ordered him to repay a portion of his enlistment bonus.
So far, however, Hanks, Damon, director Steven Spielberg and writer Robert Rodat have brushed aside attempts to enlist their support, The Hill reported.
