The report summarizes suicide counts for all services and components during the months of July through September of 2014. There were 56 suicides among service members in the active component, 20 suicides among service members in the reserves, and 26 suicides among service members in the National Guard.
The Army ended fiscal 2015 with 491,365 soldiers assigned to the active component, nearly 17,000 fewer troopers than began the budget year starting Oct. 1, 2014.
In the first quarter of 2015, there were 57 suicides among service members in the active component, 15 suicides among service members in the reserve component and 27 suicides among service members in the National Guard.
In the second quarter of 2015, there were 71 suicides among service members in the active component, 20 suicides among service members in the reserve component and 27 suicides among service members in the National Guard.
Now maybe you are more sure that what the Army has been doing to reduce suicides, hasn't even happened after the numbers of soldiers serving has been reduced.
