Marine killed in crash where car split in two

PERRY TOWNSHIP — Troopers said a fatal crash that caused a car to split in two and killed a marine may have been caused by a drunk driver.
Eryk Vencill, 21, died after crashing on Old Dayton Road near Diamond Mill Road in Perry Township just after 4 a.m. on July 5, according to troopers.
His passenger, Cody Jones, 22, was transported to Miami Valley Hospital. He was treated and released according to hospital officials.
