Investigation continues in front gate shooting

The investigation of a fatal shooting at the main gate to Camp Lejeune last month continues, Marine officials said.
Shot once in the chest on April 8 with an M4 Carbine by a fellow Marine who has not been identified, Lance Cpl. Mark N. Boterf, 21, of Crowley, Texas, died that day after he was transported from the front gate to Naval Hospital Camp Lejeune. The alleged shooter — who still has not been publicly identified — was taken into custody after the incident.
