CAMPE LEJEUNE, NC (WECT) - The Highway Patrol has identified the two Camp Lejeune Marines who were found dead inside a submerged vehicle, according to WITN.

WITN reports PFC Skyler Way, 19, from Gouverneur, New York, and Lance Corporal Nicholas Buscarnera of Mastic Beach, New York, were found Tuesday night in Craven County.

The two were found at 10:25 p.m. inside a vehicle submerged in a canal along Catfish Lake Road. WITN says the dirt road is a popular shortcut between Jacksonville and Havelock but is "off limits" to Marines because of safety concerns.
