Army suicides outnumber all combat deaths 2 years in a row

Struggling to survive after combat should never be harder than trying to survive during it. When you consider that the military has been "addressing" suicides for over 5 years, it is repulsive to discover that the Army suicides alone outnumber all combat deaths two years in a row. I don't have to add anything to this because the numbers should prove once and for all that what the Army has been doing has not worked.

The US lost 4,486 lives in Iraq. The number of wounded troops in Iraq were 32,223

The US has lost 2,300 lives in Afghanistan but the lives lost because of Afghanistan are even more heartbreaking.

The number of US troops wounded in Afghanistan are 17,674. Soldiers wounded in Afghanistan since 2001 are 12,309 of that total.

While fatalities in Afghanistan include all branches, the suicide numbers are only from the Army releases.

As of October, (the last Army suicide release) For CY 2013, there have been 126 potential active-duty suicides, 82 Army National Guard and 43 Army Reserve. 125 all branches KIA 251 Army suicides.

Keep in mind that there are less serving in Afghanistan than in 2012 and there are less serving in the military as a whole from 2012 as well.
