It seems as if Cruise has a different story on what he said but after reading it, it makes it seem worse. This was in CNN's story.
Moss took issue with a magazine headline referring to Cruise having broken a promise to attend his daughter's first day of school. "But the truth, as you know, is that Mr. Cruise is a devoted father, who simply happens to be working in London on film. By your reasoning, any actor who is shooting on location in a foreign country could be charged with child abandonment, as could all of the mothers and fathers serving overseas in the military."
The comments come in a section of the deposition where Cruise is being asked about time he has spent away from daughter Suri, either because of film or other commitments.
"Now your counsel has publicly equated your absence from Suri for these extended periods of time as being analogous to someone fighting in Afghanistan," opposing counsel asks him. "Are you aware of that?"
"I didn't hear the Afghanistan," Cruise replies. "That's what it feels like and certainly on this last movie it was brutal. it was brutal."
Not only is Cruise an ass but so is the attorney. Brining up troops stationed overseas in war?
Changing the title of this to Tom Cruise is an asshole!
Sure it is painful to watch Cruise play any kind of hero in a movie because of what he is like in real life. It is painful to hear him talk because of what he says when he has to think of the words all by himself. While he just has to whine about his makeup, real heroes are fighting and dying in Afghanistan.
TOM CRUISE My Job's As Hard As FIGHTING IN AFGHANISTAN
TMZ
Tom Cruise not only thinks he trains harder than Olympic athletes, he believes his job as a professional actor is as grueling as fighting the war in Afghanistan -- this according to legal docs obtained by TMZ.
As we reported, Cruise recently sat for a deposition in his $50 million libel suit against a magazine publisher that claimed he abandoned daughter Suri -- and his quotes are GOLD.
First, the Middle East -- Tom says his location shoots are just like serving a tour in Afghanistan, "That's what it feels like. And certainly on this last movie, it was brutal. It was brutal."

By Cammy Harbison
November 8, 2013
Tom Cruise's recent "acting is as hard as being a military soldier in Afghanistan" statement has got the Internet and social media in an uproar. It seems the actor believes he has a pretty difficult job as he recently claimed, in writing, that his job as an actor was just as hard as a solder deployed in Afghanistan.
If you're having a hard time wrapping your head around Tom Cruise's ridiculous Afghanistan military soldier vs. actors comparison, don't worry — you're not alone. The entire Internet has found it pretty shocking. The comparison seems particularly smacking as it arrives just in time for Veteran's Day weekend.
So let's back track a minute: why in the world would Tom Cruise make such a ridiculous comparison between a combat soldier in Afghanistan and his job as an actor in the first place?

He needs to take a trip to Brooke Army Medical Hospital or Walter Reed and know what real war does to real bodies. He needs to go to Arlington National Cemetery after a trip to Dover and learn what real war does. Then he needs to talk to some of the Medal of Honor heroes and explain to them why his job is so hard.
