COLFAX, N.C. – The Guilford County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a crime of vandalism, and the victim is a two-tour Iraq War veteran in Colfax.

Corporal Noah Anderson said he was resting on his couch Friday night when his motion sensor lights turned on outside. He went out to investigate and saw three suspects running away through the woods.

Then Anderson took a look at his truck.

The suspects used some sharp instrument to carve deep scratches into the driver’s side panel and the hood of his 2011 Chevy Colorado. On the side, the message read “F— Marines.”

“I went to Iraq and fought for our country, and I gotta deal with stuff like this. It’s ridiculous,” Anderson said.

Neither Corporal Anderson nor his wife Keri said they have any idea who would want to insult him like this.
