Col. John McGrath, commander of Fort Carson's Evans Army Community Hospital, has been removed from command over allegations that he engaged in what the post called inappropriate behavior.
A Fort Carson spokeswoman confirmed that he is under investigation but would not release further information.
An email sent to Evans staff Wednesday said, "There have been allegations made against Col. McGrath and an investigation is ongoing. He is in a suspended status until the investigation is complete. The Army takes all allegations seriously and this is a normal process that all Soldiers would go through."

ReplyDeleteIF you really want to hear what happened rather than to expeculate, this is,what happened in here: He applied an article 15 to a soldier that continue to disobey orders and the wife of this soldier started following him and make a complain as an observant of sexual harassment, it was so weak that soon was an unappropriated behavior and they are sooooooo ridiculous! like red cross volunteers (ladies) dressed up on a function and he saying, 'oh, she looks god' they all were dressed up, it would even have been rude not to say anything, another one was, in another function, he helped a lady to get out of her vehicle, 'unappropriated touching' and then the third one, it was raining, pouring in another function and a group of ladies were there all with rain ponchos and he was in uniform getting sucked and he said, oh, let me get behind them and as he moved to stand behind them, oops, he touched one on the shoulder or something, none of these women felt offended or made anything out of it, no one did, except the wife of the soldier that received the article 15. unfortunately, a sister unit had serious troubles of the same nature and was not handled properly and all happened at the same time. As far as the line on the hallway, the investigator, an intel officer, did not open his door to anyone who wanted to talk to him, or even went dept by dept talking to a number of personnel from each of them, he only called for people that wanted to complain, COL McGrath was brought to this hospital to put order and he has done that, on his course, of course, he has ended heaven for certain groups and there is, of course, anti-COL McGrath goes around. And, if anyone is really interested, look at how many employees the hospital has and only 30 people have complains (wish is not exact, but, lets give it credit to the claim), Anyone on COL McGrath position is going to have enemies, that is not new and it is not exclusive to the field. Unfortunately, an anti-military journalist got a hold of the story and made out of it what is not. Unfortunately, the Army waste too much time with people like this woman and this soldier. COL McGrath is a dedicated soldier, a dedicated physician, a dedicated father, an outstanding family man. The only problem he has is that he is a family christian conservative man in a time of entitlement and liberalism.
