Marine dies of gunshot wound complications

The Onslow County Sheriff’s Office said Wednesday that a Camp Lejeune Marine recently died of a gunshot wound to the head.
Sheriff’s deputies and Onslow County EMS responded to a call about 10 p.m. July 26 at 8 Dalton Court in Richlands in reference to a hand gun discharge.
Lance Cpl. Lanija Antionne Gilpatrick, 22, died two days later of complications from a gunshot wound through his eye.
