Fort Hood soldier on leave dies of gunshot wound

FORT HOOD (May 17, 2013)—Spc. Matthew Scott Patton, 23, of Bristol, R.I. died on May 13 of a gunshot wound while on leave in Lexington, N.C., Fort Hood said Friday.

No details of the shooting were released.

    I went to ait at fort leonard wood with him and got orders for the same company in Germany.we deployed together to Afghanistan and now this wow.life is short and we all need to take time out for others.
