Contractor crushed by doors at VA construction site

CHILLICOTHE — A contracted employee at the Chillicothe Veterans Affairs Medical Center was flown to a Columbus hospital after being crushed by a stack of doors Friday.
According to a VA police report obtained through a Freedom of Information Act request, Ryan D. Thornberry and another contracted employee were inside a shipping container outside Building 24 trying to move doors when 13 of them, weighing a combined 1,650 pounds, fell onto Thornberry about 10:25 a.m. Friday.
