Army Spec. Daniel L. Carlson of Running Springs has died in Kandahar Province, Afghanistan, the Department of Defense announced Sunday, Nov. 11.
The cause of death for Carlson, 21, a helicopter repairman, was under investigation. It was reported as a non-combat death, and took place on Friday, Nov. 9.
