After a very long night waiting to here about Florida, President Obama gave his speech but I fell asleep with the TV on.
There were very long lines and as of this morning, we're still not sure what happened in my state. Florida seems to always make news and most of the time not in a good way. It is for sure that the Floridians will remember what Governor Scott did not do to help us vote when he is asking for us to vote for him.
Anyway, it was a marvelous night for this country because once again, so many decided that the future of this country was important enough to endure long lines to vote. It also proved that all of the Super Pack money in the world cannot buy our votes. All the games with corrupt machines switching intended votes cannot defeat real the voice of the people.
It also proved to members of Congress that the games they've been playing over the last two years did not work. McConnell's game of letting us suffer so he could "make Obama a one term President" failed. He let us suffer. His desire was not to take care of the troops, families or our veterans. Not put us back to work. Not fix our roads and bridges. Not replace the "Obamacare" he hates so that we can have a chance to live a healthier life. None of what we needed mattered to him and his pals for the last two years.
Here's the President Obama's speech in case you missed it to.
