Brookfield Marine, 25, dies in sleep 2 days before discharge

October 18, 2012 (BROOKFIELD, Ill.) (WLS) -- A 25-year-old Marine, two days from an honorary discharge after a knee injury, died in suddenly his sleep last week at Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville, N.C.
Sgt Randy Travis Klafert died last Tuesday. Klafert's sister said he had no known health issues.
Klafert, the youngest of four, spent five years in the Marines, which included a tour of duty in Afghanistan.
The family is awaiting a toxicology report.

Add Charles New, a Marine at Camp Lejeune. Two days away from discharge, passed in his sleep October 28. Just isn't adding up.

ReplyDeleteNo he was not, to anyone's knowledge at this point. They say the autopsy results have been denied since it's under investigation.
