The Department of Defense announced today the death of a Fort Carson soldier in Afghanistan.
Spc. Kyle R. Rookey, 23, of Oswego, N.Y., died yesterday. The Department of Defense says the Fort Carson soldier died from a non-combat related incident.
Rookey was assigned to the 4th Brigade Special Troops Battalion, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division.
