A man who committed suicide at Camp Pendleton's golf course Tuesday morning was a retired sailor, a spokesman for the agency investigating the matter says.
Ed Buice of the Naval Criminal Investigative Service said the man, whose name has not been released, was seen on the base golf course with a gun.
