Marine on leave receives a hero’s welcome

VENTNOR – No one seemed to notice that it was raining when the car carrying Lance Cpl. Michael Lamaine arrived in front of VFW Post 3361.
Lamaine, 25, of Ventnor was welcomed home by dozens of people Friday, March 2 after serving a tour of duty in Afghanistan with the U.S. Marines.
The son of Joe and Julie Lamaine and brother of Anthony and Stephanie pulled up in front of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post on Dorset Avenue to a contingent of friends, neighbors, veterans, firefighters and elected officials cheering his return and waving American flags.
