CANOGA PARK (CBS 8) - Family and friends held a memorial service at Canoga Park High School on Friday to remember a Camp Pendleton Marine who was murdered allegedly by another Marine.
Last weekend, 19-year-old Lance Corporal Mario Arias Junior was found dead in his barracks.

SAN DIEGO (CNS) - Military investigators sought Monday to determine what led to the death of a 19-year-old Marine at Camp Pendleton over the weekend.
Lance Cpl. Mario Arias of Canoga Park was found dead in his barracks room on Sunday, according to the Miramar-based 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing Public Affairs Office.
Arias, who enlisted in the Marine Corps in August 2010, was an air-crew trainee from Marine Light Attack Helicopter Training Squadron 303, Marine Aircraft Group 39, 3rd MAW. He was the recipient of a National Defense Service Medal.
The cause of his death was not immediately clear, USMC officials said.
The Naval Criminal Investigative Service is heading the inquiry.

CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. (AP) - Military authorities say a Camp Pendleton Marine is suspected in the death of a fellow Marine whose body was found in his barracks over the weekend.
Naval Criminal Investigative Service spokesman Ed Buice tells the (North County Times) that 19-year-old Lance Cpl. Mario Arias Jr. was "the apparent victim of a homicide."
