Ft. Campbell Family Burglarized While Sleeping
by Brent Frazier
CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. - A Clarksville woman is relieved the intruders who burglarized her home didn't wake her or her sleeping husband, an Army sergeant highly trained in weaponry.
"Without hesitation, my husband would've defended and protected his family," said Tameeka Donald, an Army captain herself newly stationed at Fort Campbell.
Donald and Clarksville Police estimate the home burglary occurred sometime between the hours of 4:00 and 5:00 a.m. Tuesday. The Donalds were asleep inside the home, as was one of their two daughters. No one heard anything.
"Not one peep. We never heard anything," said Tameeka Donald.
She believes there was more than one burglar involved, based on the heavy lifting they did well before sunup. According to police reports, the intruders walked away with television sets, cell phones, a laptop computer, a cable TV receiver, personal keys of the family's, even military equipment.
