PHENIX CITY, Ala. --
Vietnam veteran Bob Hardman first called news 3 when he didn't get a response from city leaders after asking for an extension to delay the demolition of his home. The Phenix City Council approved a bid to tear down the building less than a month ago.
What once was home full of prized possessions and a yard full of handpicked trees is now an empty lot.
Bob Hardman said, “Like I told you before, that was my life story.”
The homeowner told News 3 on top of all his personal belongs being thrown out in the trash, and he doesn't know what happened to his hundreds of gold fish. There use to be a pond in his front yard, but now it is filled with dirt.
