A Marine gunnery sergeant who recently pleaded guilty to driving while impaired in a situation last year where he crashed his motorcycle while riding naked with a nude woman must undergo psychotherapy as part of his sentencing.

(SS), 38, of Meadowview Road, was ordered in late May to continue therapy, surrender his N.C. Drivers license, pay $573 in fines and court costs, sentenced to two years probation and given seven days in jail.

The court gave (SS) time-served credit for the seven-day active sentence because he completed a 30-day chemical treatment program in March at Twelve Oaks Drug and Alcohol Treatment Center. Sheals was diagnosed by doctors there with post traumatic stress disorder and alcohol dependency, according to court records.
