Base officials: Grand Forks airman committed suicide
An airman stationed at Grand Forks Air Force Base shot and killed himself Friday, base officials said.

An airman stationed at Grand Forks Air Force Base shot and killed himself Friday, base officials said.
The airman was taken from the base to Altru Hospital in Grand Forks where he was pronounced dead upon arrival, base commander Col. Don Shaffer said.
“We’re deeply saddened this morning with news of the death of one of our airmen,” Shaffer said as he stood outside the main entrance to the base speaking with reporters.
