Florence woman arrested for posing as veterans affairs case worker

FLORENCE—A Florence woman who police say posed as a veterans affairs case worker so she could obtain more than $20,000 from a veteran’s relief aid group was arrested Monday.
Surethia McCoy McFadden, 36, of 1601 Pickford Lane is charged with obtaining property under false pretenses value $5,000 or more, Florence County Detention Center bookings reports show.
