Biker rally opposes violence

OSCEOLA COUNTY - Sheriff Bob Hansell and County Commissioner John Quiones lined up with bikers last week in front of the Osceola County Courthouse to publicize a Bikers Against Domestic Violence motorcycle ride on Oct. 26 that will be part of Domestic Violence Awareness Day in Osceola County. A call to bikers to make a public statement against domestic violence, the event will start at 10 a.m. in Poinciana and make its way to Osceola Heritage Park. Proceeds will benefit Help Now of Osceola, which provides shelter and counseling for victims of domestic abuse. Riders can register the day of the event starting at 8 a.m. For details: 407-414-2473.
