Man shoots ex-wife before killing himself

UTICA, Ohio -- A man shot and killed his ex-wife, a prosecutor's office secretary, before killing himself yesterday, authorities say.
Randy Ricketts, 49, killed Lynette Ricketts, 40, about midday yesterday and then fatally shot himself, authorities said.
Police officers found their bodies in an unattached garage at 566 Jefferson St. at 8:53 p.m. yesterday.
Mrs. Ricketts lived in the house in Utica and her ex-husband lived in the St. Louisville area. The couple divorced in June after a 17-year marriage.
Mrs. Ricketts had worked as a secretary for seven years in the adult felony division of the Licking County prosecutor's office, said Prosecutor Ken Oswalt.
