Kids see stabbing deaths in Santa Rosa

(09-13) 16:16 PDT SANTA ROSA -- As three children looked on in horror, a man stabbed his girlfriend and killed the woman's mother in a Santa Rosa apartment today before stumbling several blocks and stabbing himself to death, according to police and published reports.
The bloody attack, stemming from a domestic dispute, began shortly after 9:30 a.m. in the 1300 block of West Avenue, Santa Rosa police Sgt. Lisa Banayat said.
Neighbors told the Press Democrat in Santa Rosa that the knife-wielding man walked down South Avenue screaming after the attack. He stabbed himself several times succumbing to his injuries a few blocks away, the newspaper reported.
