09/15/08 : DoD Identifies Army Casualty
Chief Warrant Officer Michael Slebodnik, 39, of Gibsonia, Pa., died Sept. 11 at Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered near Forward Operating Base Nagil, Afghanistan, when the aircraft he was piloting received enemy fire.

09/15/08 MoD: Lance Corporal Nicky Mason killed in Afghanistan
It is with great sadness that the Ministry of Defence must confirm the death of Lance Corporal Nicky Mason, from 2nd Battalion The Parachute Regiment, in southern Afghanistan on Saturday 13 September 2008.

As of today, US lost 116 lives in Afghanistan. Last year, the deadliest since 2001, total was 117.
