CONCORD, N.H. — The unclaimed remains of four veterans are scheduled to be buried after years of sitting in a box at a Manchester, N.H., funeral home.
The men will be buried with military honors at the state’s veteran’s cemetery in Boscawen on Friday.
Arthur Phaneuf, owner of Phaneuf Funeral Home, said little is known about the airman and three soldiers whose remains were never claimed.
John Bissonnette served in the Army in the 1920s or 1930s. He died in 1974.
Robert Caughey served in the Army during World War II and died in 1989. Efforts to reach his daughter were unsuccessful.
John Davison served in the Air Force during the Korean War. He died in 2002.
