Army investigates Fort Hood soldier's death

The Army is investigating the death of a 23-year-old Fort Hood soldier in Afghanistan.
Officials said Private John Mattox of Daingerfield -- in East Texas -- died Sunday from non-combat related causes.
The Army didn't provide any details on the incident.
Mattox was assigned to Fort Hood's 6th Squadron, 4th Cavalry, 3rd Brigade Combat Team.
