VILLA GROVE, Colo. — A three-day ceremony is scheduled to start Friday in Saguache County, Colo., to name and dedicate a mountain for those killed or missing in action.

KIA-MIA Mountain will become a national monument for U.S. veterans and families of those killed or missing in action from service in World War I, World War II, Korea, Vietnam and the Middle East.

The ceremony will take place in Villa Grove.

Salida American Legion Post 64 spokesman Rich Padoven says area Ute Indian tribes will take part in the ceremonies, as will veterans groups from the Upper Arkansas Valley. Fort Carson soldiers will be on hand, and the Air Force will perform a flyover maneuver.

Villa Grove is about 120 miles southwest of Denver.
