Cycle-van crash kills Bliss soldier (6:20 a.m.)

EL PASO —A 21-year-old Fort Bliss soldier died Tuesday when his motorcycle ran a red light and slammed into a van in Central El Paso.
The death was the city's third motorcycle fatality in two days.
The motorcyclist was identified as Zachary D. Tucker of Texas by El Paso police and Fort Bliss officials.
Tucker was a specialist who served as infantry mortarman with the 4th Brigade Combat Team of the 1st Armored Division. He returned from Iraq about four months ago, Fort Bliss spokeswoman Jean Offutt said.
