Any ememy behind every righteous act

I get hundreds of links to reports and comments about PTSD a week. Every time I read one like this, I get sick to my stomach.

The Last Talking Point of the Left

Yahoo! News - USAToday, Miller is home from Iraq and suffering from a severe case of post-traumatic stress disorder.

What seemed to have begun as a good report on what our combat veterans face, was given away in the title alone. There is an agenda on the right that does not take into account the wounds caused by combat. They did it during and after Vietnam and they are still doing it.

When the reports came out about Walter Reed, they were very angry. Not about the conditions Bush and Rumsfeld knew about for years, doing absolutely nothing about, but because the Washington Post dared address it. Again the title "liberal media" was blazed across the "war bloggers" posts. You would think normal citizens would be more angered to find out about the DOD treating the wounded coming home from combat in Iraq and Afghanistan worse than the criminal population in our jails, but they weren't.

Over and over again they scream "support the troops" but they fail over and over again to want to take care of them. Deplorable!

They see an enemy behind every act of righteous care for the wounded. Don't they realize the troops serve under Democratic as well as Republican presidents? Don't they understand that they serve this nation no matter what they believe is right or wrong and they get wounded no matter how they vote? Look at the congress and the funding for the wounded. The people who were in charge as this all got worse were Republicans. The same people who found no problem at all coming up with all the money Bush asked for, seemed to have better uses for the money than to fully fund the VA. Even today, they are the only ones standing in the way of getting the DOD and the VA up to speed. In a time when we need action taken in overdrive, they want to sit idly by and make them wait. No one in this country should be against the troops and no one should ever stand in the way of providing them with everything and anything they need to heal because they served.

There are a great deal of Republican voters out there concentrating on what is right and what is needed. Why can't they get through to the dwindling crowd of zealots attacking the people trying to do the right thing?
